ACRYLIC WORK ON CANVAS

A work of art has four dimensions: Concept, Content, Form and Context. The Concept is the idea, the Content is the meaning, the Form is how the work is created and Context is how it is perceived.

The ACRYLIC WORK ON CANVAS portfolio contains recent examples of my large format works which are usually four to five feet in height. Some are a single panel image or a combination of panels, creating one unified piece, with lengths up to seventy feet. I like to paint on unstretched  linen canvas with unstructured edges.
I work thematically, in a series. One painting leads to another. Themes range from direct observation of the human condition, auto-biographical memories, historical events, mythical stories and cultural symbols.
